Wildlife Safari hosts 5th Annual Harvest ZOObilee

Wildlife Safari will be hosting the fifth Annual Harvest ZOObilee on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The Village Keepers at Wildlife Safari have been busy creating an imaginative animal program unique to this year's ZOObilee.

Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided free of charge in the Safari Village Café. There will be plenty of treats and if the animals are feeling frisky, one of them may even have a trick up his sleeve.

"I went to the ZOObilee last year and the kids had so much fun. They all dressed up in their costumes and got to trick or treat at the safari," Said Christina Alexander, a UCC human services major.

"The people that work there work very hard to make it a special event for the kids. I was very pleased with it. I am definitely taking the kids again this year. I would recommend it to anyone with kids. It's safe. It's entertaining. It's just good clean fun."

Alexander has four children. She says she is always on the lookout for safe events and activities to do with them during the fall and winter months and Wildlife Safari is one of their favorite places to go because they have so many different things to do throughout the year.

Located in Winston Oregon, the safari is a non-profit (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) AZA accredited zoological park that is dedicated to conservation, education, and research since 1972 when it first opened. The safari is a 600 acre drive-through game park with a four and a half mile drive-through section featuring animals from Africa, Asia, and the America's. Also located in the park is a walk-through botanical zoo garden where patrons can come face to face with many exotic animals.
